Weber River Fishing Report

Releases out of Rockport Reservoir are currently at 25.1 CFS.

The river is currently frozen over as it enters Echo Reservoir near Coalville.

Releases out of Echo Reservoir are currently at 150 CFS.

River flows by Mountain Green are at approximately 218 CFS.

The low flows along the Interstate 80 stretch of the Weber River are not ideal for fishing. The Interstate 84 stretch of the Weber is currently a lot more appealing. There has been decent midge activity during high pressure. Bring an assortment of midges and sow bugs with you. Don’t be afraid to swing some streamers in the deeper holes and runs as bigger fish might be looking for a bigger meal throughout the Winter months.

Current snowpack in the Weber River Drainage is sitting at 79 percent of average.

River flows by Coalville are currently at 42 CFS.

Releases out of Echo Reservoir are currently at 162 CFS.

River flows by Mountain Green are at approximately 231 CFS.

Flows along the Interstate 80 stretch of the Weber have dropped significantly in recent days. Although it is still fishable at this flow, there are better places to go angling. The Interstate 84 stretch of the Weber is currently a lot more appealing. There has been decent midge activity during high pressure. Bring an assortment of midges and sow bugs with you. Don’t be afraid to swing some streamers in the deeper holes and runs as bigger fish might be looker for a bigger meal as Winter sets in.

River flows by Coalville are currently at 176 CFS.

Releases out of Echo Reservoir are currently at 111 CFS.

River flows by Mountain Green are at approximately 126 CFS.

All of the Weber River looks good for fishing right now. Flows have been fluctuating so check the current streamflow before venturing out. November and winter weather is here, which means the terrestrial fishing should be coming to a close. Streamer fishing should be picking up though. Bring some sow bug, midge, and baetis patterns along if you plan on fishing the Weber.

River flows by Coalville are currently at 231 CFS.

Releases out of Echo Reservoir are currently at 1.17 CFS.

River flows by Mountain Green are at approximately 90.7 CFS.

The Rockport to Echo stretch along I-80 is your best bet for fishing the Weber River. There is essentially no water coming out of Echo right now, but there are angling opportunities between Morgan and Ogden.

Streamer fishing on cloudy days can prove to be worthwhile. If the weather is nice there might be some opportunities for some terrestrial fishing or you might see some caddis still fluttering around. For nymphs plan on having some sow bugs, midges, cased caddis, and baetis in your box.
